I swear, he has smiled more in the last 10 months than I have in the last 30 years. Every hour I spend with him, I feel like I'm being let in on the joke just a little more.

Sig
http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/638#comments Image Siglet Wed, 31 Dec 2008 21:44:41 +0000 sig 638 at http://www.sigspace.net Giddyap. http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/636
This picture is so cute it actually induces vomiting in some clinical trials.

Sig
http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/636#comments Image Siglet Mon, 29 Dec 2008 23:29:39 +0000 sig 636 at http://www.sigspace.net Siglet in a box http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/635
Somebody's Christmas present is going to be ruined, but here's one of the four poses we kept from Ian's insanely expensive portraits. We got talking about the forthcoming presidential election, as is popular of late, and I remarked that the situation reminded me of the ad for the Alien vs. Predator movie: "Whoever wins, we lose." It never occurred to me that someone HADN'T done up a picture based on that premise, but I haven't been able to find one. Travis was up to the challenge, however, and I am indebted, since I have exactly zero Photoshop skills.

It's funny only because it's true. On our calendar at work, November 4 shows "Election Day." November 5's caption is "Drink heavily and cry a little."

Sig

PS - There's an image attached, for those of you using a reader.
http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/602#comments Elections Humor Image Politics Sat, 11 Oct 2008 04:18:45 +0000 sig 602 at http://www.sigspace.net Gators=yummy http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/594
I admit to putting the gator near his face, but the decision to ingest it was entirely unprompted.

The gator was the second stuffed animal I ever bought him, the first being Shiva, of course. I bought him at an alligator farm in Florida, one of the high points of a largely terrible TDY earlier this year. I thought the albinos were terribly cute, but I forgot the cardinal rule of buying things for infants: bright colors. He's just not that interested in Swampy, except as a chew toy. On the other hand, maybe that's the sort of aggressive attitude we are going for.

Sig
http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/594#comments Humor Image Siglet Tue, 09 Sep 2008 00:15:35 +0000 sig 594 at http://www.sigspace.net Good mood http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/586
No particular occasion, but he was very cute and the light was halfway decent, so I had to take a picture. Yesterday he rolled over both from front to back and from back to front. He's a very determined young man, and usually pretty serious.

I felt really, really hypocritical: "Come on, Ian, smile for the camera! Smile for Daddy!" I have not yet caught him on camera doing the half smirk that is apparently one of my distinguishing features, but he does it occasionally and it's creepy/cute.

Sig
http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/586#comments Image Siglet Fri, 04 Jul 2008 15:38:52 +0000 sig 586 at http://www.sigspace.net You don't see me. http://www.sigspace.net/?q=node/584
I took this picture yesterday evening.
